Path of the Titans Trinkets - Secondary Effect Only Procs in Raids
The secondary proc effects on the Path of the Titans trinkets coming with Antorus in Patch 7.3.2 will only work inside of the raid. Keep in mind:

  • Aman'Thul's Vision drops from Argus and doesn't take one of your two legendary item slots.
  • Pantheon's Blessing will allow you to upgrade the epic trinkets to item level 1000
  • Pantheon's Blessing drops from Argus on all difficulties.
  • Your group needs four unique Path of the Titans trinket procs to be active at once to activate the secondary effect.

A slightly different discussion here, but just popping in with a note that the secondary Equip effect on the Antorus trinkets that note "When empowered by the Pantheon...", such as 'Aman'Thul's Grandeur' on Aman'Thul's Vision or 'Khaz'goroth's Shaping' on Khaz'goroth's Courage will only function within the Antorus raid once it is live.

Currently on the PTR this effect works outside of the raid, but its worthwhile to offer some clarification so there's no confusion once the raid itself is live.

If you have any questions on this, let me know!

So, we'll be able to equip a third legendary, but only if we raid in Argus£
Yes. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Ah, wasn't aware all 6 were needed for the proc trigger. Thanks for clearing that up snarky pants.
While it won't function in Mythic+ we did change the six requirement so you only need four unique buffs to trigger the Pantheon secondary proc inside Antorus. You can have any possible combination of the unique five to activate this additional proc. Aman'Thul's Vision ignores the rule as a "wildcard" filling any gap that you might be missing from the other five.

So for example you can have two Aman'Thul's and two of the other uniques and it will trigger the Pantheon proc.

Keep in mind we're still tweaking and making changes to the trinkets so please keep voicing your feedback about it

I'd like to point out that Aman'Thuls does not function this way currently on the PTR, the only thing special is its starting ilevel. Only four Pantheon trinket procs of any kind need to overlap to trigger empowerment. I've tested this multiple times, using various combinations as well as four of the same trinket.
Currently all of the trinkets on PTR behave like Aman'Thul's Vision does in the Pantheon proc but will be changed to be unique before it goes live, other than Aman'Thul's which will stay as a wild card.

Still as always subject to change but that's the current plan.

Is Aman'thul's intended to only have an Intellect proc as its secondary empowerment£ Considering the value of any variant of Arcanocrystal to more than just Intellect classes, this seems like a massive oversight.
That might be a tooltip issue either on the PTR or on your client side but it should change depending on whatever your primary stat is.

As much as a Warrior might like to be smarter with that proc it just wouldn't exactly help.

If you're getting the buff as Intellect please let us know so we can get that fixed! (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Local Currency Update Coming to Canada, Japan, and New Zealand

It’s a key step toward growing our service globally and making it easier for players in these regions to shop and manage their accounts with us.

Once this change takes effect, local currency will be used for pricing across Battle.net and within all of Blizzard’s game shops. The same goes for any Blizzard Balance that players in these regions have stored with us, which will convert over to their local currency. Existing recurring World of Warcraft® subscriptions will not be affected and will continue using USD. However, any new or renewed subscriptions and pre-paid Game Time cards will be offered in their local currency.

While we haven’t finalized the exact date, the switch in these regions is currently slated to take effect before the end of this year. At that time, all product pricing and any stored Blizzard Balance will be converted from USD to the local currency based on the rate provided by one of the major exchanges.

For players in New Zealand, pricing will be inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

We want to make as many of our players as possible feel at home in the Blizzard ecosystem, regardless of where they’re logging in from. We also want to make shopping with us seamless and easy. Switching to local currencies is a key step toward achieving this. Some of our customers will be able to avoid paying unnecessary transaction fees charged by banks and financial institutions. Furthermore, this change will also help us expand the types of payment we can accept, allowing us to add payment methods that we previously couldn’t offer because of their restrictions on transacting in USD.

We’ll provide an update for our players in Canada, Japan, and New Zealand once we formally make the switch to their local currencies. In the meantime, we’ve put together a brief FAQ to provide you with more information on the coming changes.

FAQ

When are you switching to local currency in Canada, Japan, and New Zealand£
Today, we announced that the change is coming and that it’s slated to take place before the end of the year. We will provide an update to players when the transition takes place.

What products will be affected by these changes£
The conversion to local currencies will affect all product pricing across Blizzard Battle.net® as well as all in-game shops and any stored Blizzard Balance. Any existing recurring World of Warcraft® subscriptions will continue to use USD. However, any new or renewed subscriptions and pre-paid Game Time cards will be offered in local currency.

What happens to my stored Blizzard Balance£
On the date that we make the switch in your regions, your stored Blizzard Balance will convert over to local currency.

What rate Is Blizzard using to convert USD to my local currency£
We will use the conversion rate provided by one of the major exchanges on the day we make the transition.

Why did you decide to switch from USD to local currency in my region£
This is an important step for growing our service globally, making it easier for our players around the world to shop and manage their accounts with us. Some of our customers will be able to avoid paying unnecessary transaction fees charged by banks and financial institutions We’re also able to accommodate more payment methods, adding ones we previously couldn’t offer because they have restrictions on transacting in USD.

What currencies does Blizzard Battle.net support£
Currently, Blizzard Battle.net supports the following currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, RUB, CNY, KRW, TWD, ARS, CLP, BRL, MXN, AUD. We will soon introduce support for JPY, CAD, and NZD.

Blizzard Battle.net is still using USD in my region. When will you switch to my local currency£
We’ll continually evaluate which new currencies to bring to Blizzard Battle.net, and we’ll update our players accordingly.

What if my Blizzard Battle.net account is registered in the wrong country and I want to switch to my local region and currency£

Solo Gul'dan Kill
Mionelol had another impressive solo kill recently, with a Normal Gul'dan kill!

How gracious of Blizzard to have created a whole cinematic just for me.

This encounter would be pretty simple if it did not have an enrage timer, however I can safely say that timer is unbeatable with current DPS. Gul'dan himself has 1.04b HP, while enrage happens at 12 minutes. That's around 1.4million DPS, even disregarding phase 1 where he's immune to damage.

But of course, enrage timers aren't really a thing that have stopped me in the past, have they£

Gul'dan's enrage is one of those enrages that have a limited duration of 30 minutes; and thankfully, Gul'dan conveniently pacifies himself (more or less) during phase 1, which, combined with the fact the Inquisitor cannot move and has a maximum range on his Dark Blast, makes timing out the enrage possible, although it requires bandaging on cd and accurate cd usage+positioning in order to survive the +900% damage Liquid Hellfire casts. Prydaz helps tremendously with surviving, with the absorb shield being up on every hellfire, however I did not want to use Prydaz for the remainder of the fight and opted to survive without using it. Who would have thought first aid would be useful in Legion£

It'd be pretty simple if it stopped there, however thankfully for Gul'dan, his adds also gain the enrage buff, which includes both the phase 1 adds and the eyes he summons frequently during phase 2 and 3. And, of course, that includes the eyes he summons even after Gul'dan himself is not affected by enrage anymore, which leads to the major struggle of this fight; how to deal with eyes that have a 900% damage buff£ That's 2.5m damage taken per second, per eye. Each eye also buffs its damage with every tick, and duplicates relatively quickly if not killed, so it is imperative to dispose of them ASAP. My gear is entirely tailored towards that need (20% avoidance cap, extremely heavy emphasis on mastery/vers, moroes ring, double active trinkets)

Of course, eye spawns overlap with his other abilities, mainly Fel Scythe and Bonds of Fel, which, while not particularly threatening by themselves, still deal a non negligible amount of damage and can be deadly when overlapping with eyes.

In Phase 2, the duplicate eyes do not have the enrage buff, which makes them not too threatening (although it can still quickly get out of control if not rapidly kept in check), however in phase 3 the duplicates *do* enrage, which can very quickly lead to disaster. Moreoever, phase 3 has the dreaded "two eyes back to back" spawn, happening regularly, which is difficult to deal with, as you do not have infinite cooldowns at your disposal. Thankfully, that's also the only threat of phase 3. It nearly killed me towards the very end

Either way, enjoy the kill! This took 1 hour and 9 minutes in total, however the fight truly begins at the 42:30ish mark, so that's more of a 27 minute fight.

Gear: ilvl 943, artifact level 69.

This is generally what I'm talking about. Mobility and movement are not just gap closing, its the ability to get in, get out, and ignore, because if you can stand in an ability and not need to move through whatever means of negating it, then you're essentially eliminating the need to move at all.

Really that quote came out of me not wording it correctly so that's my fault. What I should have said was "Retribution Paladins have great mobility/utility options for movement."

This hurt to read. How do Blessings help mobility£

> LUL maybe he thought pvp talents work in pve XD.

There have been a lot of encounters over the years that have mechanics that you can ignore due to Blessing of Freedom and Blessing of Protection. I can't tell you how many times Freedom has saved me or a raid member during Mistress Sassz'ine alone this tier. Freedom and Blessing both are great utility options that Retribution can bring if they're needed especially if you have great reaction and raid awareness. There have been mechanics that you can actually eliminate by casting Blessing of Protection on someone the fraction of a second they're targeted before its applied if you're fast enough. If you're using these abilities in the right way they're considered mobility options in an encounter.

Also, so that everyone is still aware, I'm a Community Manager and its just my opinion on the state of the Retribution. You can totally disagree with my assessment and that's fine. Retribution is fun to me and has been ever since I picked it up after Wrath went live and I'll honestly play it regardless of the state.

I do still agree with some of the suggestions and opinions here but I don't personally think we need huge changes or overhauls, just little tweaks but overall we're fine. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Patch 4.0.1 Goes Live
After a long maintenance, patch 4.0.1 released on October 12th of 2010. This new patch brought a number of new systems such as Flexible Raid Lockouts and Reforging to the game, as well as removing and changing stats. Also in this patch Spell Proc Alerts were added for each class. This system gives players a visual cue when an important proc is active.

New Druid Animations
After adding a few new Shaman and Warlock animations, Blizzard added new Hurricane and Wrath animations in 2011. Wrath required a second round of changes due to some visual issues, but the new iterations were a big improvement.

Patch 6.0.2 Goes Live
Patch 6.0.2 brought numerous changes to the game, including new character models, the stat squish, stat changes, auction house merge, the Toy Box, reagent bank, and more! Normal Antorus, the Burning Throne

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a PTR environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone£

A: In Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade Sr. in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

I assume are all normal bosses up @Friday, October 13th - Wednesday, October 18th£ Including argus£
Argus the Unmaker will not be included in the Normal mode test. All other bosses will be available.

Any artifact appearances you've unlocked (including Druid forms) will be available as transmogrification options after Legion. I'm not privy to the specifics on how it will work regarding Druid forms, but the developers are keen to make sure you can still use those forms after Legion.

You'll also still be able to acquire appearances you haven't earned post-Legion, with the only exceptions being the Mythic 15 Keystone Dungeon appearance, and the Mage Tower appearances. If you don't earn those before the end of Legion, you won't be able to earn them after Legion - think of them as effectively the Challenge Mode sets of Legion.

Hope this clarifies.

only to make sure: when legion ends we can use our artifact skins as transmog weapons, but only for the class£ i mean i cant use thunderfury on another class am i right£
Right now I believe the current intent is that artifact weapon appearances can only be transmogged on the class the artifact was for. So to use an earlier example, Death Knight's wouldn't be able to transmog the Corrupted Ashbringer appearance from a Paladin.

I've forwarded on the other questions in this thread so if I get any more specific details I can share, I'll let you know.

Morning! I've got a few updates to share.

Regarding the Mage Tower appearance. If you unlock your Mage Tower appearance before Legion is over, you will still be able to earn the colour variants of it post-Legion.

Likewise the colour variants of the Balance of Power appearance will still be obtainable post-Legion, with the exception of the Mythic +15 variant which needs to be obtained before Legion ends.

Prestige appearances will still be obtainable after Legion, though the exact manner in which they are earned may change. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Retribution Paladin Balance
Retribution Paladins are nowhere near the bottom, and, like others have pointed out, that data is misleading considering there are quite a few bosses that allow us to cleave.

Currently I still see that if I have more than one target I know Divine Storm overpowers Templar's Verdict and I'm free to cleave like a madman. Retribution Paladins shine on movement and cleave which ToS is definitely a lot more friendly to us.

Of course I wouldn't object to buffs(who wouldn't) but I don't feel like we need them at the moment. This could change with our T21 set bonuses considering we'd be losing the T20 4 set that interacts so well with our talents and Crusade, however in the current state I think Ret Paladins are quite fine and pretty formidable among melee.

I can't say I agree with you here. Movement is quite punishing for Ret outside of Steed. Divine Steed off GCD would be amazing right now.
True, Divine Steed coming off GCD would be nice change. However, having the option to switch to Cavalier I feel fills that need for me when I do want the additional mobility. Cavalier plus our Blessings fills any need of mobility I've encountered this tier.

With the T20 4p going away some buffs would be nice. The 4p even feels like it's made to be baseline since it makes the spec feel much more fluid. Spending that one extra GCD is annoying when you need aoe. I would like to see T21 changed though.
I agree here as well. I've become very used to the T20 four-piece and it feels very baseline to me at this point. It's going to take some getting used to for me moving away from it if that isn't changed to a baseline. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
