We are looking for an inspirational Senior Practitioner who holds a minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years to join our Acorn Nursery at Stanwick in Northamptonshire. A graduate or those qualified to level 6 would be desireable.

The role will be working in the Oak Room (age 3-4 Years) so experience in this area is essential.

Bank Outdoor Playworker,
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Outdoor Playworker to join our team at our brand new Outdoor Holiday Club at Acorn’s Cold Harbour Outdoor Learning Centre. You will be able to inspire children of all ages to engage in memorable and educational outdoor experiences in all weathers; a love of working outdoors is therefore essential. Ideally, you will be able to bring a unique passion or skill-set to the role, such as forest school, bushcraft, pioneering, yoga, mindfulness, or any other outdoor activity.

This role will be working in school holidays throughout the year and will be based at our brand new Cold Harbour Outdoor Learning Centre (Bletchley, Milton Keynes). It is perfect for somebody that is, or is able to, work part-time or term-time only. Ideally, we are looking for somebody to start in the May Half-Term. 

There may also be opportunities to work at our other forest school holiday club sites at Shenley Wood and Salcey Forest.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

           

-          Processing Acorn payroll and reporting through Sage

-          Process Leavers, Calculate Holiday payments, PILON and other associated termination payments

-          Calculation of absence including sickness, leave and statutory payments

-          Process other payments/deductions, including Auto-enrolment, Court orders and Contractual payments. Ensuring that Audit and Statutory requirements are met

-          Input changes to employee personal details, e.g. bank account and address details

-          Input statutory changes, P45, P46, P60, P6, and P9, student loan notices and court orders

-          Process month end salary journal

-          Process accurate year end procedures and reports (including P11d’s). 

-          Maintain confidentiality and make sure sensitive files are protected appropriately

-          Maintain up to date knowledge of Payroll legislation and internal policies

-          Ensure all payrolls under your responsibility are processed and paid on time, and ensure pensions, PAYE/NI, are paid on time

-          Accurate inputting and reporting of additional financial benefits, including Cyclescheme, Techscheme, salary sacrifice and employee loans

-          Ensure information, policy & procedures and employee files are kept current and accurate

-          Support on a range of Payroll projects

-          Assist with monitoring the payroll inbox and dealing with queries in a timely manner

Bank Forest School Leader/Assistant

 Duties and Responsibilities

   To get involved with the planning, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of forest school sessions and programmes, including (but not limited to) nursery sessions, holiday club sessions, school sessions, family sessions, home-educated sessions, parent-toddler sessions, bushcraft sessions, and special needs sessions, as required by the business 

–   To plan and deliver high-quality activities aimed at meeting the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of the children, considering their individual needs and the ethos of Acorn

Acorn are looking for an inspirational Senior Early Years Practitioner to lead a room of practitioners to provide the highest quality of care for our site at Shenley Church End in Milton Keynes.

The role will be working in the over three to four years old age group so experience with this age group would be prefered. 

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, inspirational and knowledgeable Senior Practitioner for our Oaks (2-4's) room working specifically with the 3-4 years age group.
