T-Pro Looper & Magic Square 1/8th truggy tires

T-Pro have added two new tire profiles to their range of 1/8th truggy tires in the form of the Looper and Magic Square tires. Both tires are available in all race compound (Soft T3 & Super Soft T4) and also in the Sportline (Soft R3) compound. Both are available separately or glued on the new T-Pro wheels. The new T-Pro wheels are made of the same material as the buggy wheels. The wheels are in soft material, in white colors and they are very durable and offer a great driving feeling. Also new are the blue inserts. They are also based on the popular buggy inserts and fit perfectly the the shape of the truggy tires.

Bruno Coelho TQs & wins at 2022 Monaco RC Race of Champions

The second edition of the Monaco RC Race of Champions was held at the famous Club Automodellistico 5 Colli track located in Gubbio, Italy. Monaco RC racers were in attendance and Bruno Coelho (XRAY/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Brunorc/SRC Racing/FX Engines/Hot Race Tires) set the overall TQ in the 1/10th touring car class. The curent European champion will keep on its momentum and take the win from his teammate Alexander Hagberg (XRAY/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Hot Race Tyres) in second while Michal Orlowski (Schumacher Racing/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Piranha/Hot Race Tyres) ended the day on the third spot.

T-Work’s NB48 2.1 turnbuckles, bearings & screw sets

T-Work's are busy adding more option parts intended for the use with the new Tekno RC NB48 2.1 1/8th nitro buggy. First up are the turnbuckles that are machined from high-quality 64 grade titanium and are stronger and lighter than the stock turnbuckles. The set consists of seven turnbuckles and 4mm and 5mm wrenches.

The precision ball bearings provide a great combination between reduced drag and great durability as they are using rubber seals for a great protection against dust, and dirt on a side while the metal shields ensure low natural drag for high drivetrain efficiency on the other side. The set consists of thirty-four ball bearings.

T-Work's also offers a new set of titanium UFO head screws. They are machined from high-quality titanium in order to lower the overall weight of the American ride without sacrificing durability while the wide head allows to maintain sufficient contact surface area. The set comes with 171 screws.

The other screw set also consists of 171 screws. The screws are made of high-quality steel and come with a gold-plated coating to add some bling to the Californian vehicle.

Grindley, Pini & Chantler win at HNMC summer series Rd6

Sixth round of the HNMC summer series was held at HNMC track in the UK in sunny weather conditions. The event had a low entry with only 30 racers, so it was a nice relaxed day. Young racer Billy Gridley (SWORKz/Reds Racing)was able to take the overall TQ in 1/8th nitro buggy while SJ Chantler (XRAY) was the Top Qualifier en 1/8th E-buggy. Billy was able to convert the TQ spot into the win, leaving behind him Mike Waller (Kyosho) in second and Wayne Buckhorn (Mugen Seiki) in third. Steve carried on his momentum in E-buggy finals and took the win from the Mugen Seiki duo of Vitto Rekus and Jason Coe in second and third respectively. Luci Pini (Mugen Seiki), the only racer in truggy took the TQ and win.

Marcus Kaerup teams up with 6MIK Racing

6MIK Racing have announced the addition of young Danish prodigy Marcus Kaerup to their international team. The curent European 1/10th 4WD buggy champion will be using 6MIK compounds on his Team Associated RC8B4 ride at national and major international events such as the upcoming IFMAR worlds in Redovan, Spain.

T-Work's have announced the release of some new option and tuning parts that are designed to further enhance the performance of the Yokomo YD2 SXIII RWD drift car. RM2, together with JConcepts have introduced their new big bore shock limiter and up-travel kits intended for the use vehicles using clip based, shock, ride-height adjusters such as the Traxxas Slash, Rustler, Stampede, Bandit, Drag Slash, Slash 4x4, Rustler 4x4, and Stampede 4x4. JConcepts has refined lightweight injection molded spacers in multiple increments to make solid vehicle adjustments. First, the down travel limiters are precision molded in 1, 2, 3, and 6mm lengths to achieve a wide range of options. Suspension adjustments are one of the main functions of RC setup and tuning. Up and down travel are huge adjustments, with one taking place outside the shock and another, inside the shock.

CFF Arms.

Innovative CFF™ front upper arms make the X1 extremely responsive & sharp, generate fantastic cornering speed & traction, and simplify the camber adjustment process for easy setup changes.

The unique CFF™ suspension arms are an elegant engineering achievement first used on our X4 platform that look great and perform even better on the track. Using XRAY’s own newly developed manufacturing process, a carbon fiber arm and composite arm are molded together using a fusion process to produce a single CFF™ suspension arm.

The benefits of the CFF™ arms are tremendous. The thickness of the inner carbon fiber plate determines the hardness and flex of the arm. The composite around the carbon helps control its flex and rebound, resulting in a very consistent feel from corner to corner.

CFF Arms Mounting.

Thanks to the unique design of the CFF™ arms, all the suspension components are mounted directly on the arm without additional brackets, bushings or extensions. This direct mounting eliminates unwanted play between these extra components. Most importantly, the reliability and accuracy of the direct mounting ensure that settings remain consistent during a run even after a crash.

Front Suspension.

The front suspension was redesigned for improved reliability, strength, lowered CG and improved ease of adjustment. Front CFF upper arms, front upper arm mount and one-piece central bulkhead are all new.

Central Bulkhead.

One-piece central front bulkhead integrates the steering arm mount and optimized wheelbase adjustments for simplicity.

Front Track-Width.

The two different arm mount plates included in the kit have distinct track-width settings.

Narrow track width - Outer holes on the suspension arms and narrow arm plate are suggested when using standard front tire sizes like HUDY or RIDE.

Wide track width – Inner holes on suspension arms and wider arm plate are suggested when using narrow front tires likes Volante. The wide track setting increased track width by 5mm on each side.

Front Arm Brace.

The new front alu central bulkhead can be connected to the graphite arm mount plate and lower suspension arms to increase steering response. There are three different flex settings.

Camber.

Front camber is easily adjusted via adjustable front upper. No longer requiring multiple camber bushings to make changes, the entire camber range is easily adjusted directly on the suspension.

Caster.

Caster is easily adjusted via front upper plate eccentric alu bushings.

The kit includes a set of 2 dots eccentric bushings with 4.5°/9° caster setting. Using optional bushings and changing the orientation of the bushings, additional caster settings of 3°, 6°, 7.5° and 10.5° can be achieved.

Chassis.

All new chassis is updated to accept the CFF™ front suspension, redesigned battery backstop with safer mounting, and revised wheelbase settings with reinforced chassis areas.

Battery Mount System.

Convenient battery mounting system secures the pack without O-ring or tape in a tweak-free, floating manner that improves traction and consistency, and features new low profile lightweight bushings for a sleeker look and lower CG.

Side Braces.

The chassis side braces are updated to use the lightweight, low profile alu bushings to replace the traditional lock nuts and reducing the chances of chassis tweak while lowering the CG.

Top Deck.

The center top deck was redesigned for easier mounting and compatibility with the new wheelbase adjustments, featuring three different holes for shock mounting positions depending on the wheelbase setting.

Wheelbase Adjustment.

The front suspension position has a 6mm adjustment range on the new chassis to alter the X1 wheelbase. A short wheelbase is suggested for foam tires while longer wheelbase settings are generally better suited for rubber tires.

Independent Wing Mount System.

The independent wing mount system is now machined from stiffer carbon fiber material for more stable handling and features 2 centering pins for a more secure assembly.

PN Racing Mini-Z buggy driveshafts V3

PN Racing have introduced their new driveshafts V3 intended for the use with the Kyosho Mini-Z buggy. The new driveshafts have been specifically designed to use both Mini-Z buggy and monster wheels from PN Racing. The driveshafts feature a longer flat spot on the shaft to accommodate the thicker wheel hub. The driveshafts V3 work with regular 2mm wheel nuts and flanged 2mm wheel nuts.
